Hi. Darren Pearson here from DNP Consulting. Please feel free to leave feedback on any of my blog postings. I especially encourage feedback from Disqus users.
Taking a class this semester on Web Usability over at Metro State and the instructor is using a lot of open source tools. One of them I haven’t used before is called NConvert, used to convert and edit images quickly. I figure I’ll give it a try and them post again about it if it’s useful.
Heard about a pretty neat web developer tool in my “Writing for the Web” class last night called SuperPreview. It’s a free tool from Microsoft. (Yeah, I was kinda surprised too. Don’t see the words “Free” and “Microsoft” in the same sentence too often.) Gives a nice preview of you HTML page in multiple browser types and versions. Have to give it a try over the next couple of weeks.
Nope, this post isn’t about the movie Avatar. Just signed up for the Pandora Internet Radio Service. Pretty cool stuff. Created a custom radio station called Rush Radio shown below. (Just want to clarify, it’s the Canadian Progressive Rock Trio, not the conservative talk show guy.) Would love to hear from any other Pandora users.
The semester, I’m teaching a class at Saint Paul College called Blogging Applications. I’m pretty excited about it. For one of the first assignments, students will be required to look through the list of the top blogs found on Technorati and identify various feature of one of the specific blogs. They will also be required to leave feedback on this specific post about which blog they found interesting.
